2023 Taylor Builders Edition 816ce Grand Symphony Acoustic Electric Guitar w/ Case

2023 Taylor Builders Edition 816ce Grand Symphony Acoustic Electric Guitar w/ Case

Up for sale, a 2023 Taylor Builders Edition 816ce in mint condition, complete with the original hardshell case and hangtags. Dealer sourced and never privately owned, this like-new Builders Edition 816ce was crafted to the exacting standards of Taylor’s master guitar designer, Andy Powers, boasting premium appointments including a Grand Symphony body shape with soundport cutaway, V-Class bracing, rolled fingerboard edges, a Silent Satin finish, and Taylor’s Expression System 2 electronics.

The Lutz spruce top has Taylor’s proprietary V-Class bracing, designed to accentuate the vibrancy of the spruce. Further premium tonewoods include solid Indian rosewood back and sides, a tropical mahogany neck, and a West African Crelicam ebony fretboard. The Grand Symphony body shape is big and bold-sounding for unparalleled projection, equipped with a soundport cutaway that delivers maximum resonance while allowing sound to disperse at a wide angle. A single strum produces clarity and sustain, and this V-Class braced model offers the shimmering trebles and sweet percussive cut historically associated with the Taylor brand.

Taylor's Expression System 2 is designed to faithfully reproduce the instrument’s natural tone. This system utilizes three uniquely positioned and individually calibrated pickup sensors installed behind the saddle and through the bridge to capture top and string vibration. Created in partnership with audio pioneer Mr. Rupert Neve, Taylor's electronics are seamlessly integrated into the design of the guitar from the ground up. This Builders Edition 816ce weighs 4lbs 13oz, dialed in beyond the factory setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 12-53 bronze strings and easy-playing action.
