Up for sale, a 2010 Guyatone Nobuhiro Mine 40th Anniversary signature model EG-2100M in mint condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case and hangtags. An incredibly rare Guyatone model crafted at the Fujigen factory in sparingly limited quantities, this EG-2100M is a nylon string chambered solidbody acoustic/electric guitar (not dissimilar to the Gibson Chet Atkins CE), featuring a Fishman undersaddle piezo pickup, ideal for players that seek the feel and tonality of a traditional classical guitar but with a feedback-resistant body and articulate pickup system. It was designed in tandem with iconic Japanese surf rock guitarist Nobuhiro Mine, likely to belatedly celebrate the 40th anniversary of Mine’s initial endorsement of Guyatone in 1967 (the Sharp 5 model was the signature model of Mine and his band the Sharp 5).

Tonewoods include a chambered mahogany body, bookmatched tiger flame maple top, five-ply mahogany/maple neck, and an ebony fingerboard, offering strong natural resonance. The Fishman active undersaddle piezo pickup delivers warm brassy growl and punch, with a wide array of tonalities on tap via the broad sweep of the Tone knob, ranging from focused cut to smooth, airy breadth. This EG-2100M weighs 7lbs 10oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with D’Addario normal tension nylon strings and easy-playing action.
