This ST-248 weighs 7lbs 13oz with a lively, detailed acoustic response that provides an ideal platform for the trio of factory-installed Seymour Duncan SSL-1 single coil pickups. These pickups are designed to recreate the sound of a ā50s Strat, featuring staggered Alnico V pole pieces, black bobbin flatwork and cloth-covered leads. The bridge pickup has ample sparkle and bounce, the neck pickup has a throaty fullness, and thereās a scooped spank at the āin-betweenā positions on the five-way pickup selector switch. This Moon ST-248 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mikeās Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
