Up for sale, a 2014 Collings 001MH 12-Fret in showroom-clean, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. One of the premier acoustic builders of the modern era, Collings instruments exude quality, passion, and precise craftsmanship in every aspect of their construction. The Collings 001 is a marginally larger variant of Collings’ perennially popular 01, which was inspired by classic small-body Pre-War Martins; this “MH” variant features all-Honduran mahogany construction, with premium features including Pre-War scalloped bracing, tortoise binding, and a high gloss nitro lacquer finish.

All woods are acquired, acclimated, and hand-selected by the master luthiers at Collings, and each component is picked with the "whole tonality of the end instrument in mind." The mahogany body and neck are paired with an ebony fingerboard, with 12 frets clear of the body. The all-mahogany construction results in a warm, dynamic, touch-sensitive instrument with a wonderfully full midrange and dense harmonic overtones. A true “songwriter’s special” that is perfectly suited for fingerstyle, this Collings still has plenty to offer when strummed or played with a flatpick.
