2006 Conde Hermanos Felipe V No. 2 EF3 Flamenco Guitar w/ Case

2006 Conde Hermanos Felipe V No. 2 EF3 Flamenco Guitar w/ Case

Up for sale, a 2006 Conde Hermanos Felipe V No. 2 EF3 in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with a hardshell case. The Madrid-based Conde dynasty began in 1915 with master luthier Domingo Esteso, and was passed on to his nephews (and pupils), Mariano Sr., Faustino and Julio Conde. Eventually Mariano’s sons Felipe and Mariano Jr. took over the business, and these masterfully crafted flamenco and classical guitars are still produced in Madrid to this day, played by luminaries including Pacco De Lucia, Mario Escudero, Sabicas, Al Di Meola, and John Williams.

This Felipe V No. 2 EF3 flamenco guitar boasts a fan-braced spruce top, cypress back and sides, mahogany neck, and ebony fingerboard. Warm, dark, and full-bodied, this Felipe V No. 2 EF3 toes the line between flamenco and modern Madrid classical styles, retaining plenty of taut crispness for the more percussive, rhythmic applications of the flamenco style, be it blistering rasgueados and snappy picados. The dark, warm breadth at the wound strings is very open and harmonically rich, ensuring melodic lines have a pensive, smooth character. Weighing 3lbs 1oz, this Felipe V No. 2 EF3 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with normal tension strings and ideal flamenco action.
