1983 Roland JX-3P Vintage Analog Synthesizer, Serviced

1983 Roland JX-3P Vintage Analog Synthesizer, Serviced

Up for sale, a 1983 Roland JX-3P Programmable Preset Polyphonic Synthesizer in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with a carrying case. A real “if you know you know” synth, the JX-3P shares the same analog filters and VCAs of the Juno and Jupiter series; just like the Juno-106, it’s a six-voice polyphonic synth feeding digitally-controlled oscillators through analog filter, envelopes and amps. This JX-3P performs exactly as intended, freshly serviced by Synapse Audio Systems.

While it was introduced at the same time as that iconic sibling, the JX-3P was designed as a more accessible means of accessing those classic Roland sounds with a slightly less intimidating user interface and more functionality “under the hood” than on the control panel. Indeed, this JX-3P tonally does exactly what you would expect from Roland’s best analog synths of the era: it’s fat, warm, and punchy. There are 32 preset sounds, with the same number of user slots, and other features include a sequencer, sync modulation, and a random LFO generator.

This is a clean, well-kept example, with pristine graphics and limited wear on the enclosure. The keycaps are bright white and level, and all of the original buttons, switches, sliders, and knobs are present. The serial badge dates to November, 1983.

A carrying case is included.
