Up for sale, a 1968 Martin D-28 in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with a hardshell case. Benefitting from the servicing due a Martin of this vintage, this D-28 features a professional neck reset, new pickguard, carved bone nut and compensated saddle, and bridge plate reinforcement. A Fishman active undersaddle pickup has also been installed.
Produced early in ā68, this Martin features the classic tonewood combination of an X-braced Sitka spruce top, bookmatched Brazilian rosewood back and sides, original small maple bridge plate, mahogany neck, and ebony fingerboard and bridge. Bold and detailed, this D-28 lives up to its hallowed tonewoods, with all the piano-like clarity and string-to-string balance synonymous with Nazareth, PAās finest output. This D-28 has more boom and kick in the bass register than many produced in the decade prior, offering a muscular sound with tons of projection.
