1962 Gretsch Jet Firebird 6131 Double Cut Vintage Guitar, Bigsby Palm Pedal G/B Bender, Case
The tonewood complement comprises an arched maple top, chambered mahogany body, mahogany neck, and bound ebony fingerboard. This 6131 is lightweight at 7lbs 3oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mikeâs Guitar Bar with 11-49 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The gloss Firebird Red nitro lacquer finish is 100% original with no touch-up or overspray, and there is vertical lacquer checking across the body. There are a few repaired splits in the binding, and a couple professionally stabilized areas of binding deterioration. Cosmetic wear includes a couple small holes (beneath the bridge) where a previous bridge was pinned, wear through to the mahogany along the lower bout perimeter, and some buckle rash and dings from honest use. The neck profile retains its smooth nitro gloss, with limited palm wear along the shoulders and a couple shallow nicks along the profile length.
A modern Gretsch black tolex hardshell case is included.
