2023 Fender Traditional II ‘70s Mustang FSR Collection Sunburst, Japan MIJ

2023 Fender Traditional II ‘70s Mustang FSR Collection Sunburst, Japan MIJ

Up for sale, a 2023 Fender Traditional II ‘70s Mustang FSR Collection in like-new condition and in perfect working order. Imported directly from Tokyo, this FSR (Factory Special Run) ‘70s-style Mustang was produced in limited quantities, featuring a rosewood fingerboard and an alder body with a gloss Sunburst finish accented by black plastics.

Weighing 7lbs 5oz, this Mustang has a smooth, cutting voice when strummed acoustically, qualities which translate well through the pickups. The single coils have a clear, sparkling tone, and the on/off/on pickup selector switches can also engage the distinctive Mustang out-of-phase sound in the innermost and outermost positions. This Traditional II ‘70s Mustang has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 11-49 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

Neck Specs:

-Wood: Maple
-Shape: U, measuring .880” 1st fret, .940” 12th fret
-Fretboard: Rosewood, vintage-spec 7 ¼” radius
-Frets: Slender, no wear
-Scale Length: 24”
-Nut: 1 9/16”, bone
-Tuners: “F”-stamped (Schaller-made), white hexagonal buttons
-Serialization: “Made in Japan,” JD23-prefix

-Controls: Volume, Tone, Pickup On/Off/On switch x2
-Hardware: Vibrato, bridge with barrel saddles, control plate
-Plastics: Three-ply black pickguard (factory protective film intact), pointer knobs

Sourced directly from Tokyo and virtually unplayed, there’s barely a scratch on the gloss three-tone Sunburst finish. The smooth gloss on the neck profile is similarly flawless.
