2016 Fender Japan Exclusive Classic '60s Stratocaster Texas Special Candy Apple Red, ST62-TX
Up for sale, a 2016 Fender Japan Exclusive Classic '60s Stratocaster Texas Special in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. Essentially a rebranding of the ST62-TX model, this Stratocaster (as the name would suggest) was made exclusively for the domestic Japanese market, rarely seen outside its country of origin, featuring a factory-installed set of Fenderâs USA-made Texas Special pickups and a gloss Aged Candy Apple Red finish.
Weighing 7lbs 12oz, tonewoods include an alder body and one-piece maple neck capped by a thick slab rosewood fretboard. Fenderâs Texas Special single coils match vintage spec with black fiber bobbins, cloth-covered leads and staggered alnico magnets, delivering a bevy of sparkling classic Strat tonalities with a slightly aggressive overwound snap. The bridge pickup is bold and chewy and the neck has a full, bell-like quality. This Classic '60s Stratocaster Texas Special has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
Neck Specs:
-Wood: Maple
-Shape: Medium C, measuring .835â 1st fret, .935â 12th fret
-Fretboard: Rosewood slab, vintage-spec 7 1/4â radius
-Frets: Slender, faint wear beneath the plain strings on frets 1-3
-Scale Length: 25 1/2â
-Nut: 1.650â (42mm)
-Tuners: Kluson-style, Gotoh
-Serialization: âMade in Japan,â JD16-prefix

-Pickups: Texas Special single coil x3 (USA-made)
-Controls: Volume, Tone x2, Five-way pickup selector
-Hardware: Vintage-style Synchronized Tremolo, jack cup

The ambered gloss finish on the neck profile is flawless, highlighting light figuring on the profile length.
A gigbag is included.
