Up for sale, a 2009 Fender Telecaster Custom ‘62 vintage reissue model TL62B-BTX in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. This “Made in Japan” Telecaster is an uncommon, upscale iteration, discontinued long ago and featuring a genuine USA-made Bigsby B5F vibrato tailpiece and a factory-installed pair of USA-made Fender Texas Special pickups.
Weighing 8lbs 13oz, tonewoods include an alder body, maple neck, and slab rosewood fretboard. The pair of USA-made Texas Special single coils feature all the hallmarks of vintage Fender pickup construction, with black fiber bobbins, cloth-covered leads and staggered, unbeveled alnico magnet pole pieces. Slightly overwound for a bit more kick than a traditional pair of single coils, the Texas Specials deliver plenty of snarl, with quintessential Tele twang in the bridge position and sweet percussive cut at the neck.
