Up for sale, a 2004 Fender Stratocaster left-handed ‘57 vintage reissue model ST57-65L in excellent condition, upgraded with a set of Lindy Fralin Hot Strat single coils. This “Crafted in Japan” Stratocaster was offered exclusively to the Japanese domestic market and select international territories, uncommon outside its country of origin.
The substituted set of Lindy Fralin Vintage Hot Strat single coils feature black fiber bobbins, cloth-covered leads, and alnico magnets, installed à la Jimi Henrix with reverse stagger on the magnets. The resulting tone has a distinctive character, with punchy lows and plenty of hollow “quack” at the in-between positions on the switch, and the bridge pickup includes a Tele-style baseplate for extra kick. This ST57-65L weighs 7lbs 13oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 9-42 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
