2001 Gibson Limited Edition Firebird V Reverse Body Sapphire Blue w/ Banjo Tuners, Case & Tags, Yamano

Up for sale, a 2001 Gibson Firebird V Limited Edition model in showroom-clean, 100% original condition and complete with the original hardshell case and hangtags. The rare iteration of the Firebird platform was produced exclusively for Gibson’s Japanese distributor Yamano, featuring a brilliant custom color Sapphire Blue gloss nitro lacquer finish only seen on a select handful of Japanese-exclusive Gibsons in the early 2000s. Gibson’s USA-made guitars distributed via Yamano are often considered to be among their absolute best, featuring the highest quality woods picked for Gibson’s discerning Japanese audience.

Featuring mahogany/walnut neck-through construction, the instrument's warmth and natural sustain translates faithfully through a pair of Gibson's high output Firebird pickups. The tone is rich and full, with plenty of midrange content and an aggressive treble bite, punchy and focused at the bridge, with breadth and growl at the neck. This Limited Edition Firebird V weighs 8lbs 2oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
