1991 Fender Order Made Stratocaster '62 Vintage Reissue Candy Apple Red + Headstock, Japan MIJ Fujigen
Up for sale, a 1991 Fender Order Made Stratocaster â62 vintage reissue model ST62 in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. This âMade in Japanâ ST62 was crafted at the Fujigen factory during the golden age of Fender Japan production as part of the âOrder Madeâ program, essentially a Japanese custom shop which offered non-catalog component and finish options; this particular Strat sports a custom color Candy Apple Red finish with matching peghead.
Tonewoods include an alder body, maple neck, and slab rosewood fretboard. The trio of ST-Vintage single coil pickups features Alnico magnet construction, yielding gutsy cut and sparkling bounce at the bridge, throaty punch and smooth breadth at the neck, and hollow percussive quack at the âin-betweenâ positions on the switch. This Order Made ST62 weighs 7lbs 13oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mikeâs Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
Neck Specs:
-Wood: Maple
-Shape: Medium C, measuring .850â 1st fret, .970â 12th fret
-Fretboard: Rosewood slab, 7 1/4â vintage-spec radius
-Frets: Slender, faint wear beneath the plain strings on frets 1-3
-Scale Length: 25 1/2â
-Nut: 1.650â (42mm), bone
-Tuners: Kluson-style, Gotoh
-Serialization: âMade in Japan,â K-prefix
-Factory Markings: Order Made stamps on neck pocket/heel
Body Specs:

The gloss Candy Apple Red finish exhibits a couple âtan linesâ from previously removed stickers on the top and back. The gloss on the neck profile is clean and smooth with just a few shallow nicks on the profile length.
The original faux leather gigbag is included.
