1990 Fender Stratocaster ‘72 Vintage Reissue ST72-500 Olympic White w/ Case, Japan MIJ Fujigen

Up for sale, a 1990 Fender Stratocaster ‘72 vintage reissue model ST72-500 in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with a hardshell case. This “Made in Japan” Stratocaster was crafted at the Fujigen factory during the golden age of Fender Japan production and is uncommon outside its country of origin, featuring vintage-accurate touches including a block logo on the headstock, three-bolt neck plate, block saddles, and a gloss Olympic White finish accented by black plastics.

The trio of alnico magnet single coil pickups deliver distinct tonalities at each position on the five-way pickup selector switch: the neck pickup has a bell-like chime and warmth, with thinned-out squawk in positions 2 and 4, and a sparkling spank in the bridge position. This Stratocaster ST72-500 weighs 8lbs 8oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The gloss Olympic White finish has one “tan line” from a removed sticker just below the bridge, finish checking at the edges of the neck pocket, and some small dings and finish scratches, largely on the lower bout. The ambered gloss on the neck profile is smooth and clean with just a few shallow marks.

A black tolex hardshell case is included.
