Traditional tonewoods include a mahogany body, lightly figured two-piece carved maple top, and a one-piece mahogany neck capped by a rosewood fretboard, yielding plenty of rich sustain and a lively, detailed overarching quality that’s faithfully captured by the stock pair of VH-1 humbuckers. These second generation VH-1s meter in the mid-8k ohms range, offering plenty of growl and detail, handling gain well for thick rhythmic crunch and singing solos.
