Up for sale, a 1986 Fender Stratocaster â72 vintage reissue model ST72-115 in exceptional condition and in perfect working order, upgraded with USA-spec CTS pots and a set of Fender's Pure Vintage '65 Strat pickups. One of the shortest lived top-tier models hailing from the golden age of âMade in Japanâ production at the Fujigen factory, the ST72-115 was only available from 1986-87. Features include '70s spec Fender "F" tuners, block saddles, and a gloss Natural finish.
The ash body yields a certain midrange detail and note attack, paired with the glassy snap of the maple fretboard. At 9lbs 6oz, there's plenty of natural sustain on tap too, and these qualities translate faithfully through the Pure Vintage '65 pickups have gray fiber bobbins, staggered alnico magnets and cloth-covered leads.
