1983 Fender Stratocaster '62 Vintage Reissue JV ST62-65 Candy Apple Red 100% Original, Japan MIJ Fujigen

Up for sale, a 1983 Fender Stratocaster ā€˜62 vintage reissue model ST62-65 in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. Crafted in the second year of Fender Japan production, this ā€œJapanese Vintageā€ (JV) series guitar is a rare example, sporting a gloss Candy Apple Red finish.

Extremely accurate to vintage spec and sold only within Japan and select international territories, this Strat has a resonant alder body paired with a maple neck and slab rosewood fretboard, yielding a balanced, clear natural acoustic quality that translates well through the pickups. The trio of ST-Vintage Alnico magnet single coils have black fiber bobbins and staggered alnico magnets, delivering a traditional range of Strat tones. The bridge pickup is sparkling and clear, while the neck pickup has ideal fullness and a chiming bell-like top end, and the ā€œin-betweenā€ positions on the five-way pickup selector switch deliver hollow, spanky quack. This JV Stratocaster weighs 8lbs 2oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
