1971 Gibson ES-335 TDC Vintage Semi-Hollow Guitar Cherry w/ T Tops, Case
This Gibson delivers the goods, with a big barking acoustic voice, yielding the immediacy and snap of maple and the breadth of the semi-hollow construction. The T Top pickups are a perfect compliment to the 335's construction and tonewoods, with a bridge pickup that is clear, defined, and plenty warm, offering a surprising amount of chime. With both pickups engaged it's easy to dial in an ideal rhythm tone that has percussive cut and roundness, and with the neck pickup singled out, things fatten up nicely while staying clear. Weighing 7lbs 6oz, this ES-335 TDC has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The gloss Cherry nitro lacquer finish exhibits prominent checking, with a small area of very well-matched overspray across the doweled mounting holes from the original trapeze tailpiece. There is some very shallow buckle wear on the back, a few minor finish chips along the perimeter, and some small nicks and finish scratches. The smooth gloss on the neck profile includes similar checking, with a few shallow marks that are not distracting to the palm while fretting.
