This Joe Satriani signature was the longest-running of Satchās JS models, based on the since-discontinued slender, contoured Radius Series body shape, with a shred-ready feature set including a pair of DiMarzio humbuckers, Lo-Pro Edge tremolo, and sleek gloss Black Pearl finish.
The DiMarzio pickup pair comprises a FRED at the bridge and a PAF Pro at the neck. Designed to interact well with high gain amps while delivering plenty of presence and rich harmonic content, the PAF Pro retains the dynamic, detailed qualities of the PAF design. Low notes have both snap and chunk with a midrange spike that provides a subtle cocked-wah response.
