1988 Ibanez ID120 Dyuke-1 SSH Superstrat Marine Sunburst Flame Top w/ Edge Tremolo

Up for sale, a 1988 Ibanez ID120 Dyuke-1 in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. This rare Ibanez was crafted at the Fujigen factory in Japan as part of the short-lived Dyuke series, only produced for one year. A unique take on the “Superstrat” platform, features include a gold-plated brass pickguard, Lo-Z active SSH pickups with two-band EQ, bound ebony fingerboard with sharktooth inlay, Edge tremolo, and a bookmatched flame maple top with a gloss Marine Sunburst finish.

The ash body and ebony fingerboard result in a terrific balance of natural midrange warmth and glassy treble cut. The trio of active pickups comprise a Lo-Z humbucker at the bridge and two Lo-ZS single coils in the middle and neck positions: these pickups are built for clarity and power, with plenty of midrange punch, singing trebles, and tight, aggressive lows. This ID120 Dyuke-1 weighs 8lbs 12oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The gloss Marine Sunburst finish is framed by multi-ply binding, highlighting the notably tight flame figuring in the maple. Cosmetic wear is limited to one ding on top just south of the bridge and some faint scratches in the clear coat on the body as a whole. The satin finish on the neck profile is clean and smooth.
