1984 Greco Mint Collection EG500C Custom Vintage Guitar Cherry Sunburst w/ Screamin PAFs, Japan Fujigen

Up for sale, a 1984 Greco Mint Collection LP Custom model EG500C in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. Built at the Fujigen factory in Japan, this “lawsuit era” LP delivers the goods, with great attention to vintage Gibson spec. While it’s worth noting that no legal action was taken against Greco specifically for these guitars, Gibson would go on to commission the same factory to produce their Japan-exclusive "Orville" line of instruments.

Tonewoods include a mahogany body with a three-piece carved maple top and a one-piece mahogany neck capped with a bound rosewood fretboard. This guitar has a long neck tenon and midrange-forward, resonant acoustic character. The Fujigen-made "Screamin" PAF-style humbuckers are detailed and rich, with plenty of definition and power from the bridge pickup and more warmth and fullness in the neck position. This Greco weighs 9lbs 12oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The gloss Cherry Sunburst finish is framed by multi-ply cream binding, and highlights subtle quilt figuring on the back. There are some surface level finish cracks (buffed smooth) on the body perimeter at the bass-side waist, with one small finish chip on top behind the bridge and some additional minor marks and light finish scratches consistent with careful use. The gloss finish on the neck profile is smooth and clean.

A gigbag is included, along with the original pickguard (not pictured).
