1979 Kawai F-1 Jr Vintage Neck Through Electric Guitar, Stainless Steel 24 Fret, Japan

Up for sale, a 1979 Kawai F-I Jr. in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. This rare, expertly-crafted Kawai clearly takes its design cues from Alembic, featuring neck-through construction with a five-piece maple/mahogany neck, mahogany body wings, and a 24-fret rosewood fretboard with stainless steel frets.

The double cream bobbin humbuckers offer a combination of clarity, power, and tonal breadth. The neck position is full-sounding, and the bridge is exceedingly detailed and authoritative. Each humbucker also has a dedicated ā€œTriple Soundā€ mini toggle coil tap for single coil sparkle and spank (the second and third positions tap the second coil to varying degrees). Weighing 8lbs 3oz, this F-I Jr. has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and spot-on intonation.
