Up for sale, a 1979 Gibson Les Paul Standard, complete with the original hardshell case, finished in Tobacco Sunburst and loaded with the original T Top humbucker pair. The three-piece carved maple top, solid (non-sandwich) mahogany body, and maple neck deliver the classic range of sounds indicative of this tonewood combination, with great clarity, note attack and fundamental punch. The T Top humbuckers deliver growl and potent aggression in the bridge position, while the middle position on the three-way toggle has an ideal rhythm sound, round and percussive. The neck position humbucker has warmth and oomph, providing a perfect lead sound with a sweetness that lends itself to complex chord voicings. This Les Paul Standard weighs 9lbs 14oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
