1979 Gibson Les Paul Standard Tobacco Sunburst w/ T Tops, Case

Up for sale, a 1979 Gibson Les Paul Standard, complete with the original hardshell case, finished in Tobacco Sunburst and loaded with the original T Top humbucker pair. The three-piece carved maple top, solid (non-sandwich) mahogany body, and maple neck deliver the classic range of sounds indicative of this tonewood combination, with great clarity, note attack and fundamental punch. The T Top humbuckers deliver growl and potent aggression in the bridge position, while the middle position on the three-way toggle has an ideal rhythm sound, round and percussive. The neck position humbucker has warmth and oomph, providing a perfect lead sound with a sweetness that lends itself to complex chord voicings. This Les Paul Standard weighs 9lbs 14oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The gloss Tobacco Sunburst nitro lacquer finish has a few areas of light wear along the perimeter, with light buckle wear across the back, one small finish chip on top behind the bridge, and various small dings and scuffs from use. The neck profile has been stripped of its finish for a smooth, satin feel.

The original Gibson-branded black tolex hardshell case is included.
