Fender Custom Shop 1956 Stratocaster Roasted Relic Faded Two-Tone Sunburst w/ Gold Guard, Fat '60s Pickups

This Fender Custom Shop 1956 Stratocaster Roasted Relic boasts a number of unique, vintage-centric features including a nitro lacquer Faded Two-Tone Sunburst finish with Fender’s Relic treatment, a gold anodized aluminum pickguard, a trio of Hand-Wound Fat ‘60s single coil pickups, and a roasted AAA birdseye maple neck with a 10/56 “V” profile carve.

Weighing 7lbs 5oz, this “Roasted Relic” Strat features a roasted alder body alongside the roasted AAA birdseye maple neck and AAA rosewood fingerboard with 9.5" radius and 6105 Narrow Tall fretwire. The Faded Two-Tone Sunburst nitro lacquer finish exhibits “shattered glass” checking and various marks of simulated wear per Fender’s Relic treatment.

Fender’s Hand-Wound Custom Shop Fat '60s Strat pickups deliver sweet 1960s single-coil Stratocaster sound with plenty of crisp articulation. The overwound design gives these pickups added low-end punch for an extra shot of modern attitude. These pickups are outfitted with beveled alnico II magnets, which offer warm lows, rich midrange and mellow highs, capturing the sound of aged pickups from the early '60s for luscious vintage-inspired tones. The middle pickup is also reverse-wound reverse-polarity (RWRP) for superior hum cancellation.
