Up for sale, a 2020 Martin HD-35 Reimagined Standard Series dreadnought in near-mint, 100% original condition, complete with the original hardshell case and hangtags. A reinvention of the D-35 platform designed to reflect the best features this quintessential dreadnought model has to offer, this HD-35 blends the rich history of the guitar with Martin’s newest and most heralded innovations. Vintage-centric appointments include forward-shifted, scalloped 1/4“ X bracing, herringbone trim and aging toner on the Sitka spruce top, a tortoise pickguard, and a new neck profile to give D-35 enthusiasts a modern feel and comfortable playing experience, complete with a Pre-War-spec 1 ¾” width nut. This particular example also boasts custom-ordered Gold/Black Grover Rotomatic tuning machines and a gold strap button.

Featuring solid East Indian rosewood back and sides paired with a solid Sitka spruce top, this dreadnought has incredible clarity and string to string balance, with fantastic power and articulation via the combination of the dreadnought body shape and the lighter 1/4“ bracing. The guitar has a big burly sound, plenty of low end kick, bold projection, and the perfect balance of cut and sweetness. With their Standard Series instruments, Martin endeavors to create guitars that have the same time tested manufacturing practices and all solid wood construction as their guitars of yesteryear, with a full gloss nitro lacquer body finish. Weighing 4lbs 11oz, this Reimagined HD-35 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 12-53 bronze strings and easy-playing action.
