Up for sale, a 2018 Gibson SG Standard Bass in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case, hangtags and case candy. Essentially a reissue of Gibson's EB-3 model, this short scale bass features solid mahogany construction and a gloss Heritage Cherry nitro lacquer finish. This particular example was ordered by Gibson’s Japanese distributor Yamano; Gibson’s USA-made guitars distributed via Yamano are often considered to be among their best, featuring the highest quality woods picked for Gibson’s discerning Japanese audience.

The mahogany construction results in a rich and resonant natural acoustic tone, and this bass is lightweight at 7lbs 10oz. The pickup pair faithfully capture the classic tonal characteristics of Gibson's famed '60s EB models, wax-potted for low-noise performance. The neck Rhythm humbucker is thick and warm with plenty of low end thump, and the bridge position Lead mini humbucker packs a sweet punch with exceptional midrange presence. This SG Standard Bass has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 45-100 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
