Up for sale, a 1982 Yamaha SG3000 Custom in exceptional, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original black tolex hardshell case. The top-tier model in Yamaha’s SG family, the SG3000 features ornate abalone top binding/fretboard inlay and premium components including Spinex humbuckers. This particular one-of-a-kind example (likely a prototype of some sort) is loaded with an HSH pickup complement and has a unique control array.

An incredibly well-crafted instrument boasting neck-through construction, the SG3000 lives up its reputation of being a "Les Paul Killer." The guitar offers an array of immediate and articulate tones with singing sustain and rich drive. The Spinex humbuckers deliver clear, broad, and punchy lows, while the treble response has a silky, singing quality, complemented well by the smooth-yet-sparkling central single coil. Both humbuckers also feature individual push/push coil taps, and the presence of the central single coil pickup enables Strat-style quack when paired with the tapped humbuckers.
